As the INVEST project concludes after three years, Dealflow, Linknovate, and CRIT successfully carried out 18 Technology Due Diligence (TechDD) assessments, offering strategic insights into early-stage technological innovations. This work helped refine a robust methodology to evaluate technology readiness, scalability, and market potential—key factors for investment decisions.
Each startup received a tailored TechDD report covering:
Technology Deployment: Self-assessment of technological readiness.
Technology Scanning: Competitive benchmarking and SWOT analysis.
Technology Landscape: Sector insights and expert perspectives.
Partner & Client Feedback: Market validation from industry stakeholders.
These insights supported startups in strengthening their market positioning and investment readiness. The assessed startups span five key sectors:
Energy & Sustainability

AW Energy:Wave energy conversion for renewable electricity.
Aquabattery:Sustainable energy storage using water and salt.
The TechDD process has proven to be a key enabler for investment readiness, combining structured insights with expert analysis. With this foundation, the INVEST methodology stands ready to support future innovation and growth across Europe.
